Maidstone Local Plan Site Promotion Successes

Hume Planning has been successful in securing two significant site allocations within the newly adopted Maidstone Local Plan.

Following the report of the Inspector, on 20th March 2024 the Council moved to adopt its Local Plan Review and in doing so, confirmed two significant site allocations promoted by Hume Planning.

At Ware Street in Bearsted, on behalf of Vistry plc, land has been allocated for approximately 67 residential units, with the Inspector concluding that the site represented “logical infilling between existing housing”.

At Lidsing the Inspector supported the submissions on behalf of K D Attwood and Partners for c2,000 new dwellings, 14ha of employment land together with significant new open space, infrastructure and strategic highways connections; acknowledging that “the vision is to create an attractive, exemplar community” (see our separate in-depth article here…..)
