Beacon of light

Hume Planning Consultancy supported the Attwood Family in order to secure planning permission for the Beacon Brazier to commemorate D-Day on the hillside beneath the Crown in Wye, Ashford. We are pleased that following negotiations, the siting of the Beacon was approved following careful negotiations with the Parish Council, Attwood family and Natural England and KCC Archaeology.

We anticipate the Beacon will be an important celebratory landmark for the community for many years to come, so we are proud of the small part the company played in navigating the planning process with the real credit owed to the Attwood family who have supported and funded the project.
