Alister Hume began Hume Planning in 2015, basing the company on an ethos that was focused on a collaborative approach to problem solving, recognising this style of approach will most often lead to the best decision and place making solutions, notwithstanding the reality that stakeholders will often have differing objectives.

At Hume Planning we recognise that successful planning outcomes derive from excellent communication between the client, Local Planning Authority Officer’s, important stakeholders and all consultees (including residents of the wider community), as well as an appreciation of the value of teamwork.
