New glazed covering to Orangery courtyard “beats” the weather at wedding venue

Hume Planning Consultancy worked with Chapel House Estate to secure a new exciting setting to the walled courtyard at this enchanting and award winning wedding venue. The orangery will provide a beautiful and enclosed setting to weddings and events all year round, being constructed of retractable glazing around an oak frame.

Thanet District Council were in full support of this application and the Hume Planning Team worked closely with the Council in order to satisfy all of the technical requirements including heritage and design features, given its setting within the Grade II listed Chapel House.

Chapel House Estates are due to begin the build of this exciting new structure this Winter, hopefully to be completed by April 2025. We look forward to visiting the covered courtyard when complete.
