A RESOLUTION TO CAR PARKING ISSUES AT KEARSNEY MANOR

Part retrospective planning consent has been secured on behalf of Channels & Choices for the improvement and enlargement works to their existing car park at Kearsney Manor together with replacement tree planting and tree protection measures.

Channels & Choices provide specialist children’s care services and have been running their services Kearsney Manor in Alkham Valley since 2020. The organisation sought to carry out improvement works to their existing car park in order to deliver additional parking provision and functionality benefits which is when Hume Planning became involved in order to regularise the development already undertaken and ensure that the development was acceptable in arboricultural terms given the surrounding tree preservation order trees at the site.

Following engagement with Dover District Council officers and co-ordination with specialist arboriculturists, delegated approval was given for the works this Spring which will support the adaptation and expansion to a local children’s care and community organisation within the district.
