PLANNING CONSENT FOR MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT AT FORMER ST PETER’S PRESBYTERY, WESTGATE-ON-SEA

Hume Planning has successfully obtained planning consent for a mixed-use development comprising of a four storey building of ground floor office space, together with 14 apartments ranging in size from one to three bedroom dwellings.

Hume Planning worked closely with officers to resolve concerns regarding the impact(s) of development on designated heritage assets, as well as finding solutions to ensure maximum retention of existing mature trees on site. Matters of parking provision were creatively resolved in connection with the wider technical team.

Hume Planning successfully guided the application through the planning process, achieving consent by way of planning committee vote in November 2020. The development will make a positive contribution to both office and housing provision in Westgate.
