White Mills Wakeboarding goes from strength to strength

Following a positive officer recommendation, backed by Members at Planning Committee, Hume Planning Consultancy have recently secured permission for an additional training lake and tourist accommodation at White Mills Wake & Aqua Park in Sandwich, Kent.

The proposal represents a further phase of development at the site, which opened in Summer 2022, and will serve to expand and diversify the existing sports and leisure facility to enhance the tourist attraction and offer overnight stays close to Sandwich.

 Hume Planning worked with officers at Dover District Council to resolve technical issues relating to drainage and ecology at the site.

 Its status as a unique and valuable contribution to the local economy and leisure provision within the District is growing. At the end of last month (June, 2024), White Mills successfully hosted the European Cable Wakeboarding Open Championships. A further competition, the Rookie Rumble Pro-Am UK Tour Final, is planned at the centre on 24th August 2024.
