RESERVED MATTERS APPROVAL FOR 24 DWELLINGS IN BRIARY CLOSE, WESTBROOK
HPC has successfully negotiated reserved matters approval for 24no. dwellings on land (beyond settlement confines) adjacent to Briary Close, Westbrook.
This follows the allowance of an appeal for the outline permission – secured by HPC in December 2017.The appeal case centred on whether the development would conflict with a wider strategic housing allocation within the LPAs emerging Local Plan. The Inspector accepted HPCs reasoned case that the site was capable of being developed independently and could be implemented in a manner that did not prejudice the future quality and infrastructure provision of the draft allocation for the comprehensive, mixed use development of the wider area.
The recent approval of the reserved matters for this development, which includes the provision of affordable housing, will facilitate the early delivery of the sustainable housing to counter the LPAs ongoing housing supply deficit.
