GREEN LIGHT FOR NEW RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT WITHIN THE AONB AND ADJACENT TO THE SETTLEMENT CONFINES OF GOUDHURST

Planning permission has been secured for the erection of two detached bungalows nestled on a hillside on land adjacent to the settlement confines of Goudhurst.

Through constructive pre-application engagement with LPA officers and a subsequent detailed planning application Hume Planning were able to successfully demonstrate a balance of national and local planning policy objectives relating to the AONB designation, Conservation Area, tree protection, ecology and wider landscape issues to facilitate the delivery of two detached bungalows – making efficient use of an otherwise vacant area of land. This provides a modest, but nonetheless positive and sustainable contribution to local housing provision in Goudhurst.
